THE LIGHTHOUSE CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY: Educating For the Future

The Lighthouse Center for Education and Adaptive Technology enables The Lighthouse of Houston to reach a broader segment of the visually impaired population. By providing increased access and training for the blind and visually impaired, The Center creates new opportunities for the visually impaired and responds to the needs of existing programs and services. Strategic relationships, such as those The Lighthouse has fostered with Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas Commission for the Blind, United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast, Houston Community College, Houston Independent School District, and the National Vision Cooperative, will continue to expand as well.
