Reflections - Art Show and Reception
reflections_img.jpgOn June 18, 2009, The Lighthouse of Houston presented Reflections – Houston’s first Art Show and Reception featuring more than 50 framed watercolors by 30 artists who are blind or visually impaired.   Several of these works are available for sale!

The art works astounded everyone who saw the show or viewed the 12 that were posted online to illustrate a feature story on the show by Houston Chronicle Fine Arts Writer Douglas Britt.

All of the artists take classes at The Lighthouse of Houston.  Many have had their work exhibited and sold through APH InSights – The American Printing House for the Blind’s juried art competition for artists who are visually impaired or blind.  One of the artists had his work chosen among hundreds nationwide for the APH InSights 2009 calendar.
